More than a few people e-mailed me after they did my latest New York Times puzzle citing disappointment. Not that the puzzle was bad, per se. Rather, they felt the puzzle was going in one direction, a rather gonzo direction, only to be pulled to a more traditional way as they worked their way through it. Well, the BEQ reads his e-mail, and the BEQ abides. This puzzle goes out to those who e-mailed.
Speaking of gonzo, please watch with this stunning interview embedded above with crossword answer legend Brian Eno. Wow.
