HEAR YE, HEAR YE: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Title came first, screaming (crying out?) the gimmick. “Hey Brendan! Make me, make me!” it shouted. And when the unseen Muse of Crosswords speaks, I best listen, because hey, there’s puzzles to be made and they’re not all going to be “Word that follow the ends of X-, Y-, and Z-Across” themes. Naw, that’d be cheap.
CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT! Do you think you have what it takes to be the unseen Muse of Crosswords? Well, let me hear your best impersonation. All you have to do is email me a title for a puzzle. You don’t have to give me the actual theme/gimmick. In fact, I don’t want any theme answers or gimmicks explained. Just the title. The one that speaks to me the most will be turned into a crossword to be run here, sometime, and the unseen Muse of Crosswords will get their choice of either one of my books, or some junk that’s lying around the condo cluttering up things. Likely an old baby toy. Sounds like fun? Yes. Let’s do this. Contest is closed end of the day Wednesday 3/18! May the best Muse win.
Share the puzzle. Send me some funny titles. New one on Monday.
UPDATE: My man Ralph Bunker is hosting another contest with a top prize of $215! Click here and enter.
Well this is the funniest crossword I’ve seen in months, and such a welcome break from the “‘Word that follow the ends of X-, Y-, and Z-Across’ themes” that seem to be everywhere lately. Thanks.
6D/18A had me hitting the ‘Reveal’ button.
And I have no idea what 37A is all about…but that’s just the relationship I have with Kanye… he don’t care about me…I don’t care about him.
Other than that, another winnah from BEQ…
