SPLIT DECISION?: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
I could publish a list of things I will never be able to do, but frankly, when you’re as good as I am at, well, um, a few things … okay more than a few things, why even bother to accentuate the negative? I mean, I can certainly mention I’m utterly inept at using a spreadsheet, but frankly I’m sure a lot of you out there are in the same boat. Okay, not the accountants and, I guess, the computer programmers, but how many BEQ.com fans out there fit that criteria? A lot? Okay, this is a bad example, forget I even brought it up in the first place.
I should have just said I will never ever be able to do a split. Ever. Okay, maybe not ever. I suppose if I became an amputee, like a full leg amputee, I might be able to something resembling the above pose. But with two legs? Forget it. Only ask me to do a split if you want to laugh uncontrollably.
Reminder: ’16 summer mini-drive is in effect. The site is always going to be free. In fact, you’ll get a 100% money-back guarantee if you’re not fully satisfied. But if you like what I do here, week in, week out, a suggested $10 tip really helps keep the site chugging along. If you can give between now and July 4th, I’ll hook you up with two bonus 21x puzzles, and one randomly donor will get a copy of Drunk Crosswords. Thanks to all who can give.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
This puzzle was illiant [actually a word? http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=illiant%5D. Looked like typical “Brendan messing with your head” until the revealer, and, of course, the referendum had to be on a Thursday. Just fan fucking tastic.
Great theme
Super. Iliant indeed!
Pretty clever and timely puzzle. However I protest 44A, especially when it appears right above the Chinese restaurant general. The mental image is troubling. I’d much rather You return to the old potty-mouth days than see another entry like this. It is the first puzzle that I wouldn’t share with my wife, ever. I feel this fails the breakfast test more than the old days ever did, at least at my table.
