PROGRAM: [Across Lite]

We've already covered this before, but to repeat, themeless puzzles always start with the seed entry. 17-Across was today's seed. It didn't yield anything interesting at 1-Across, or 15-Across, but was most successful at 17-Across. Once that was done, it was off to the SE. Now typically since themeless puzzles have four quadrants, I usually try and put a seed entry in each area before tackling the grid. 63-Across was the seed entry over here, and yes, it's worth mentioning that I was foolish enough to try it out at 69-Across and 67-Across before finding what we have here.
What's always fascinating to me is the accidentally interesting/quirky/weird/noteworthy/etc. answers that come up while trying to get a grid to work. In this instance: 69-Across. All the letters are edge-of-the-grid-friendly, and it's something that people should know, if they don't already know. Gotta love when that stuff comes up.
FWIW: I love the image presented in the clue for 40-Down. I think I'd probably pay upwards of $10 to see that.
