CROSSWORD #503: Packing on the Pounds

This puzzle's straight from the "Write What You Know" file. Who went off the rails this holiday season? That's right, this guy. It started back around Thanksgiving when I was having my fifth slice of pecan pie in about 24 hours. Tabitha pulled my shirt up, pointed to my belly, and then burst out laughing. That pretty much set the tone for the next month. BEQ tried to eat food guilt-free; Tabitha laughed at my physique. Anyway, I plan to lose the weight the old fashioned way: by no longer eating holiday-related pastries.

Also from the "Write What You Know" file: my favorite album from last year was by 1-Across. It's good stuff. And now you know.
