THE BODY SHOP: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
It's showtime at BEQ. Last week's meta asked for the name of a famous play. A quick look at the long answers didn't yield much: DEAD OR ALIVE, KACHINA DOLL, DUMB AS A DODO, and SHADOW BOXER. That is until you you noticed the embedded ADOs. But where's the NOTHING? Ah, that would be represented by the SQUAT in the dead center. Most of the 159 entrants sent in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, with ten wrong answers split among the following: The Mikado, Golden Boy, Ghosts, Six Degrees Of Separation, Rope, Phantom of the Opera, Steambath, Death of A Salesman, and Othello. It's not often that I run contest, but based on the feedback with the latest one, I might have to reconsider. Let's look at the solution:
Our randomly selected winner is Kurtis Williams from Parts Unknown. Fun fact, Kurtis's emails have the following footer: "Sent from my Apple ][+" The Biz Quig's first computer was an Apple IIc, so I love that footer. Anyway, Kurtis will win either a book that I wrote of his choosing, or some piece of shit from house that I don't want anymore. Congrats again to all who entered.
Share the puzzle. New on Monday.
UPDATE: The AVCX is holding a contest! It's a mega themeless to boot. Click here to enter. Speaking of bonus themelesses, there's still time to get the June drive puzzle too!
