MARCHING BANDS:
[ CROSSWORD SOLVER][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Crossword Solver] [Adobe Reader]

Two weekends ago at the Crosswords LA tournament, my man Eric Maddy won it again. Put it like this ... Dan Feyer : ACPT :: Eric Maddy : Crosswords LA. It's that simple. If you're competing in either tournament, and you see those guys in the room with you, forget about it. It's a race for second place. You've been warned. Anyway you can buy the puzzles here, I solved them in a sitting last week and let me tell you, I thought Trip Payne's and David Quarfoots were outstanding. Really, they were all good, just thought I'd mention those. So yeah, $5 and the batch is yours. Not only that, all the money raised goes to the Reading To Kids charity, so that's a win-win. In that case, better splurge the $17 and get all four years of Crosswords LA puzzles. Start shopping.
Today's puzzle was a Marching Bands puzzle that I wrote for part of the free handout that went out to Crosswords LA competitors. So thanks to Alex Boisvert for convincing me to make one and thanks again for letting me run this one on the site as well. Speaking of Alex, the guy's a genius with computer programming. If you're not already using the Crossword Solver program you should consider it. Not only is the layout a bit more elegant than Across Lite, but also you can do all sorts of wild things in the grid. It's the closest thing, I think, we've got to solving puzzles on paper only on-screen. Case in point, today's Marching Band puzzle. Consider making the shift. (It opens Across Lite files as well.)
When your done with the puzzle, take a minute to install Alex's crossword sovling app by clicking here. Okay? Okay. And if you liked the Marching Bands, maybe pick up a copy of my last book here.
Phew. That's a lot of links.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
