So last Monday's puzzle had a marquee answer in it, and well, it's going to be hard to finish this story without some kind of SPOILERS, but, here goes nothing. So yeah, there was a marquee answer in it, second answer in the upper left corner, and it was all about the creeps who go around nicking Amazon packages and the like off people's front porches. Well whaddya know, on Monday night, I got a notification that my package (a gift for Liz) had been delivered at such and such a time that day, and so I go down to pick it up. And nothing. It's gone. Nothing was there. Made a couple calls, and well, couldn't get anywhere. It just wasn't there, nobody knew where it was, and nobody was taking responsibility. Unreal! If I knew I had that kind of ability to conjure up things in real life from simply putting them into crosswords puzzles, I sure as shooting would have done something like GIVE BEQ 1000 IN BITCOIN or something along those lines. I'll chalk this one up as a coincidence, but watch this space. If I post a picture of me with Brian Eno, you know something weird is happening.
Reminder: the end of the year drive is underway. Long story short: the site is free and will always remain free. Just sayin' that if you've enjoyed my work this back half of the year, a $10 tip keeps me happy and productive. Plus, I'll send you two Sunday-sized puzzles as a thank you. PayPal or Venmo (@TheBEQ) preferred, but if you want to send a check, email me. Want more puzzles? Throw in an additional $10 per title: Marching Bands or Diagramless. Thanks again to all who have been able to chip in.
One randomly selected donor will get more BEQ swag. Huzzah!
