THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Themeless Monday for you on this hot June Monday. Hope you enjoy it. I can’t believe this year has just disappeared like that. Utterly crazy. Next thing I know I’ll be retiring soon.
Now, June means it’s time for another “pass the hat” drive/campaign/mugging/ whatchamacallit/etc., and like I have always, always, always emphasized is that this site remains free forever period. People ask me about subs for this site, and that’s just now how we do things around here. F-R-E-E spells “you don’t owe the Biz Quig a penny, ever.” And that’s entirely true. These puzzles are posted for your enjoyment. If they make you happy, then I’m happy. If they make you want to write me a letter calling me a jerk, then please, it’s a free county. Email me and tell me just that.
Now there are some costs to keeping this site choogling along. Regulars know the drill. Every time we pass the hat around, a small suggested donation of $15 (PayPal or Venmo @TheBEQ preferred, email me for other suggestions) goes a long way. But again, it’s only if you can tip. Times are tough, I get it. Have you seen gas prices? Ye gods. Anyway, all who can donate will receive two bonus Sunday puzzles as a thank you (one themed, one themeless, like a super-sized BEQ week). And one randomly selected donor will receive one piece of junk from my house that I don’t want any more.
Drive ends on July 1. Thank you to each and every one of you who are are able to chip in.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon) and Marching Bands year seven have begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
I found this to be DIABOLICALLY HARD, but I got it. … after 75 minutes spread over two days. 😩Lots of fun! Thanks.
I’m in the same boat as Vince – a two-day affair (untimed, on paper). Sometimes I need the break to get a fresh look at the clues.
Great puzzle!
It’s amazing how you can be totally stumped, then come back the next day and still be totally stumped. (You thought this had a happy ending didn’t you?)
Yep, this was really hard for me, too. 17 minutes. That may sound fast, but I usually do these in under 10.
Of course, for some of our friends out there, my best times of 5–6 minutes would be a really slow effort!
