THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
I’ve been getting some email lately wondering where the puzzles were. Well, they’re right here, every ding dong week. Two of ’em. It’s just that the dumb email client has ceased functioning. I am in the middle of a years-long-promised overhaul of the site, and will address that hiccup in the process. But, in the meantime, those that need their twice-weekly BEQ in an email digest, may I recommend Matt Gritzmacher’s daily crossword links? You get a daily email with all of everything and Bob’s yer uncle. We’re in a golden age of puzzles, and you never know, your next favorite puzzle maker might just be on that list.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Joon Pahk) and Marching Bands year eight has begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.

Whee, fun! “Hang on, Sloopy” was the first song I learned how to play on the guitar…followed by “Louie, Louie.” This does not make me unique. And you’re not 40 Across.
Thanks, Brendan!
Thanks so much for the fun, entertaining puzzles. Wondering if part of your overhaul of the puzzle program will include allowing us to easily shift from across to down without having to move to the list of clues and click on the clue number we want to go to. That would be a huge improvement. Also — can you program an instant “wrong” indication within the puzzle itself so we don’t have to keep exiting the puzzle to check for errors?
Keep up the great work!

Oops, I made two goofs in my suggestions. This is not the possible that does not automatically advance to switch directions. So scratch that. This IS the puzzle that does not automatically skip over entered letters to get to the next blank square. Now THAT’S annoying!
