MARCHING BANDS: [ JPZ][ PDF]
[ FULLSCREEN]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
I just can't quit making Marching Bands. They're great puzzles to solve, and in some ways, even more fun to construct. Answers weaving this way, that way, up, down, left, right. Crazy stuff. O.G. Crossword Jesus Mike Shenk made the first American ones for Games magazine back in the day. But now it seems that everybody's doing it. This puzzle is from my biweekly Marching Bands subscription. Enjoy, if you're not already a subscriber. Now let's review the instructions shall we?
In this themeless variant, answers appear in two different directions, Rows and Bands. Each Row has two answers side by side with no black square separating them (except for row 7). And Each band starts at the lettered square and goes around the grid clockwise, one answer after another all the way around the circle. Every square appears in two answers.
And there you have it. If you enjoyed this one, you should sign up for year eleven (zomg! I'm getting old) of these things. Every other week, a new Marching Bands puzzle arrives in your inbox. No Across Lite, just a JPZ or a PDF. If you need a place to do JPZ, check out Alex Boisvert's excellent on-line solving site. In fact, AB made the interface just above. That guy's a genius.
So if you're on board, it's just $15 for a subscription. PayPal or Venmo, please and thank you. Or if you'd prefer some other way, get in touch. Hope to see all of you on board.
